At Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences in Helsinki Finland it’s that time of the year again. Spring has arrived and annual entrance exams have gotten underway.
This year 216 people sent in applications. Their goal was to lay the ground work for a career in the hospitality industry. Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences offers a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Tourism and Experience Management.
The program is offered in both Finnish and English. And the picture you see below are applicants writing an
essay that reveals their command of English grammar and comprehension. Those who passed this part of the entrance examination moved from the auditorium to smaller classrooms for afternoon interview sessions with lecturers and alumni.
No doubt it was a long and stressful day for all those showed up and the suspense will continue until 50 successful applicants get their acceptance emails the early part of May. We wish all the applicants good luck. Half of whom were Finnish and the other half were from different parts of the world.
